| Abstract: | This chapter reviews the deep history of Angkor/China relations that began centuries before Angkor emerged in the Lower Mekong basin and intensified through time. Our signal for China in Angkor is strongest in non-perishable material goods like high-fired ceramics, but iconographic representations and specific housing and manufacturing technologies also reflect close interaction between Angkor and its northern neighbour. |
